Will my GP be informed?
Contact with your GP will only take place with your informed consent. It is advisable that your GP is informed of any treatment in order to keep your records up to date.

Will my health insurance cover the cost of treatment?
Most health insurance companies will cover the cost of chiropractic treatment. Check with your provider for details of your individual policy.

The Guernsey Social Security Authority (GSSA) also covers a proportion of treatment cost. Please contact the GSSA on 732500 for further details.

Is treatment painful?
Treatment procedures are selected which take into account your comfort, the condition and its state of progress. You may experience some transient stiffness following treatment.

Remedial massage can generate some pain and discomfort on the areas of focus but will be soothed using Swedish massage techniques. Some pain may also be experienced 1 or 2 days after your first treatment.

Can I stop taking my painkillers?
Chiropractic & massage treatment can often reduce pain levels but it is important to note you should always consult your GP prior to stopping any course of medication.

What should I do after my treatment?
+ Try to relax
+ Drink plenty of water
+ Be aware of your posture
+ Try not to lift heavy objects
+ Keep warm
